Hi guys...!!!

I just got back from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah...I got admitted there on last Friday (19/06/09)...The reason I was admitted there in the first place was because the doctor in Pusat Kesihatan UiTM diagnosed me with dengue fever on the very same day...

I never thought that I will be ever been infected with this fever...I was starting to have fever on last Sunday (14/06/09)...My Goodness if you were me I don't think you can imagine how hot I was...I don't even have the energy to bring myself to the toilet...I started to think that I might be having dengue fever as aunt was once diagnosed with dengue fever as well and I have a little bit of knowledge what should I do right there and then...I asked my very kind and good friend, Azhann, to buy me a bottle of big 1oo Plus...The reason I told him to buy me that drink is because that drink is an isotonic drink and it can restore lost energy...If it was not for his kindness and humanity, I don't think I would be here by now because to be frank I was beginning to think that I could die in my sleep because I had never felt my body temperature could be that high for my entire life...He came back with a big bottle of 100 Plus...He told me that the drink was his treat because I didn't get the chance to grab my wallet to pay him back...I owe you my life, bro!!!

There goes Monday (15/06/09), I went to Pusat Kesihatan UiTM...They took my blood and got it tested...I was told to relax awhile in the sick bay...About half an hour later, I was told to go back to college and come again tomorrow...I was kinda puzzled because the doctor didn't say anything to me...He just gave me some meds to consume...

Then Tuesday(16/06/09), once again I went to Pusat Kesihatan UiTM to get my blood tested...Still nothing from the doctor, this time it was another doctor and she just add up my panadols and other meds to reduce my fever...She told me to come again on Friday if I still have the fever...

On Wednesday (17/06/09), I feel I got my energy back...So I decided to go attend my classes on that day...At first everything was okay, but then when the effect of the panadol that I took began to wear off I started feel sick again...I started to lose my energy as it came near to the afternoon...I had my lunch, took some more panadols and fell asleep in the INTEC Cafe...When I think that I have enough energy to walk, I stepped up and start to walk out of INTEC...The hot sunny day didn't helped that much in fact it burdened me more and more...I almost fainted a couple of times when I was on my way back to the college...When I arrived, I quickly took of my clothes and jumped into Hafiz's bed...My world was dark and I didn't know what happen next...All I know that when I woke up it was 8 pm...

On Thursday (18/06/09), I didn't go attend my class because I really don't have the energy to go there...Luckily, there was just 1 class on that day because the other classes was postponed...I was having bed rest all day long...At the end of the day, I felt really good and energetic...But another thing came up, my whole body except for my face, showed some rashes...And my skin became a little more sensetive...I know I have to go to see the doctor again the next morning...

On Friday (19/06/09), I went for my Malaysian Studies class and everything was okay...After I finished my class, me and Bombay went to Pusat Kesihatan UiTM...I showed the doctor the rashes that I had...Once again she told me to go to the lab and got my blood tested...Once the result was ready, the doctor broke the news to me:"You have dengue fever..." I wasn't that shock actually I mean I already see this coming with all those symptoms that I had before...The doctor wrote a letter for me because dengue fever is not the case that they can handle...It's actually a recommendation letter so that I can get myself treated at the nearest government hospital which is in Klang...I got myself admitted at 5 pm...

My hand

When I got myself admitted, the first thing they did was stick a needle onto the back of my hand...It was a little bit painful...I was brought to my bed, which was located in the ward G2...The doctor who was in charged with my case, Dr. Andrew, told me there is no cure for dengue except drink a lot, I mean A LOT of water...You really have to go to the toilet every half an hour due to too much water intake...My life in the hospital was kinda scary...People with dengue around me were kinda weak and powerless while I was really energetic...The doctor himself told me I was way too energetic for someone who happened to have dengue fever...Imagine, my blood were taken 4 times a day during the first and second day I was in there...Only starting from the third day that it was reduced to twice a day due to really great progress my body has made...The food was kinda too salty...It's like the cook was trying to kill the patients...I didn't eat a lot there because of it's bad taste and my sore throat which made me harder to swallow any solid food...

Earlier this morning, the doctor told me that I have showed really good progress and he told me that I will be released today...I was really happy...I missed my friends and there are lots of things that I need to catch up with...

Okay guys...I think that is all for now...I really need to finish my assignments that I had left since the day I wass admitted to the hospital...

Hi guys...!!!

What is time management? People always think that managing time is not that important but there is a whole lot more than that. According to some information I found from the net, time management actually refers to a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals.

One of the ways to manage time is to create a master schedule. But do you think people will follow the master schedule accordingly? Do you think they will obey the master schedule 100%? Well, if you ask me I don’t think normal human being would follow the master schedule accordingly. Why? As we are normal human being of course we are bound by the laws and rules, but there is also a thing that we should not forget which normal human being is also has the tendency to go against the rules. Some people might think that rules are made to be broken. That is why we can see people are doing crime whatsoever.

It has been 3 weeks since I came to UiTM Malaysia, Shah Alam. I can see that some of the students are very bad at managing their time. It is not that I am saying that I am perfect, heck I am a human being as well but still people are bound to have their own opinion, right? I do not know about the TESLian girls, but I surely know what are the TESLian guys have been doing here at Kolej Meranti. I’m not saying that they are culture shock, but they really need to pull themselves together and focus on what actually they come here for. Seems like some of them have forgotten why they come here in the first place.

You can name few guys that usually go out after class and will just go back at the very last minute. I mean, do you really have to go out to town each and every day of your life? I know there are lots of temptations in this very urban city like Shah Alam, but I think you really have to adapt with the surroundings as quickly as possible. That is when your maturity comes in handy. Another thing that has been irritating most of us here is there are few guys that actually spending most of their time with TESLian girls. I mean it is okay if you are meeting those girls for group discussion whatsoever, but I do not think you need to figure out what actually happen. They actually spending time with those girls so that they can get at least one of them to be their future girlfriend. To make things worse, some of the guys actually already have a girlfriend back at their hometown. I do not know what are they trying to prove, but obviously it is a wrong thing to do. Maybe they wanted to show the other guys that they are hotter than the rest as they can get girls easily. I am not so sure about that.

When they go out and come back pretty late, they will have the problem to wake up early in the next morning. There were some cases that some guys actually came in late for their classes. Luckily they were just late for 5 minutes and the lecturer was not in the class at that moment. I am afraid that they will lose their focus and eventually flunk from this course. Honestly, I do not want that to happen to them as I consider them just like my real family, even so if I talk to them about their behavior of course they will not listen to me. As for me, I have not face the problem that the others are facing right now, yet.

I still have my focus on what must come first which this TESL course. I think we have to start to snap back to reality and recall what should come first. We should really manage our time so that we can do anything without anxiety. For example, if you wanted to make use of your leisure time make sure that you have set your leisure time is on weekends. To be safe, do not go out unless each and every assignment that has been assigned by your lecturer has been completed. Do not keep on delaying your work and procrastinate everything. That is why the psychologist keeps on telling us to create our own master schedule, but I think we still can survive everyday life without creating the master schedule. Just remember one simple rule; always keep the first thing first.

When there are lots of works you have to finish, always sit down and think for awhile. For the best result, prioritize them. For example, if you have assignments on College Writing and College Study Skills at the same time, there are a few things that you have to consider. Consider on the difficulties of the assignments and the due date for the submission of the assignments. In that way, you can finish every assignment with ease and stress-free.

As a result, you will not face any problem. You can finish your assignment and later have leisure time with your friends. As a human being, we deserve to have some fun so that we will not gone crazy. Just do not have too much fun as it will drag you to the world of fantasy. Of course you have to discipline yourself in order to cope with all the works that you need to finish on time. That way, you are going to have a better tomorrow.

Okay guys, I need to go...Not feeling so well...Maybe gonna catch a fever...

Hi guys...!!!

This is actually to tell all my classmates in Group 1C that there are several classes that will be postponed next week for Monday and Tuesday. Here's the list of classes that are postponed next week:

Monday
  • TSL 021 - College Writing 1 (Miss Zarina)
  • TSL 041 - Grammar 1 (Miss Afni)
  • TSL 031 - Listening & Speaking (Miss Zarina)
Tuesday
  • TSL 011 - College Reading 1 (Madam Nazeera)
  • TSL 051 - College Study Skills (Miss Azyyati)
All Miss Zarina's classes will be conducted tomorrow which is Friday (12/06/09) from 2.30 - 6.00 pm. Another thing is just now Miss Salliza called me and she told me that she will be around on Wednesday and class will be just like usual. So don't listen to rumor as if it was true that a lecturer won't be around, he/she must have told me. I hope there will be no such confusion okay?

Okay fellow TESLian, if you still have any question or any enquiries, just give me a ring ok...You know how to reach me...

Hi guys...!!!

Sorry for not updating my blog daily...It's not that I didn't want to, it's just that my life ha
s been perfectly busy right now...Lots and lots of assignment that is given by our lecturers...Actually, I wanted to update another entry on last Sunday, but due to some circumstances I couldn't find some free time to turn on my laptop, sit back and write something...

Well, I am actually in the INTEC Library right now...The reason I'm here is because I was suppose to have a group discussion with Fairuz, Hanis and Eja but they aren't here... was actually with me just now and she were ready to start the discussion with me...But suddenly, out of the blue her friend called her and asked her to pick her up at the hospital...Fairuz told me that her friend, which happen to be a girl with her boyfriend, had an accident last night...Poor that girl, I hope she would be okay...While Hanis and Eja aren't arrived yet...I texted them just now and they told me that they are waiting the RapidKL T529 bus at Seksyen 2 bus stop...That leaves me alone in this very huge INTEC Library...

In the mean time, let's talk about INTEC Library...This library has 3 floors, every floor has it own reading section...In addition, it has cyber cafe at the 1st floor which allow UiTM students who doesn't have their own laptop to go to the Internet...As for students that has their own laptop, they can register their name with INTEC Library in order to use the INTEC WiFi...As for me, I didn't register my name to use the INTEC WiFi as I already own a Celcom Broadband...I don't think it is necessary for me to do that...I should be giving some other students to get to use the INTEC WiFi...Eventhough Celcom Broadband sometimes do get on my nerves...(>_<)
Bookshelves

Reading corner

Discussion corner

Another thing about this library is the air-conditioner here is so freezing cold...I keep on warming my hands as I spend my time here it's getting colder and colder...

Last week was my 1st week in INTEC...INTEC is actually stands for International Education Center...You can see the chinese, indian and others here as this is the place where they prepared the students for foundation and right after they finish their foundation here they will get to further their studies overseas...!!!! Due to similar courses, the Faculty of Education is placed here...Not just that, Faculty of Music is also placed here...I don't know why, maybe they are short of building back in main campus...

Our schedule is really packed...But fortunately, my group which is Group 1C, is the group that will start class at 2.10 in the afternoon every Tuesday...!!! How cool is that, huh??? All classes were great...The assignments that are assigned to us are challenging but fun in the same time...One of the assignments was to watch the new animated movie Monsters vs Aliens...The movie was funny and enjoyable...I watched the movie 3 times to get to really understand the whole story as we are assigned to write a synopsis on the movie...That's an individual work, we have another group work which is to create a folio regarding the aspect of the movie...My group is assigned to work on Character and its Characteristic...The most easy aspect compared to the other two that are assigned to the other two groups which are Themes and Moral Values...

Well while I'm writing this blog, Eja and Hanis came they gave me some content for me to work on the Powerpoint Presentation...But Hanis haven't really found what she was looking for so she needs a little bit more time to work on her magic..While I still have no news on Fairuz'
s whereabouts...By the way, I bought a dictionary few days back...It's an Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary...Our lecturers recommended that dictionary to us...I actually bought the one that is equipped with a CD....Most of my friends bought the one that has no CD because it is RM10 cheaper than the one that I've bought...For the time being, I don't think that the CD is necessary but I know someday in the future the CD will be useful and when the time comes I won't lend it to anybody who wants it...hahahahahaha...!!!!

Okay guys...I think I better go...I need to start work on the contents that Eja and Hanis gave me just now so that I won't be rushing the time later...The presentation is on Thursday and we still haven't start...!!! Hahahaha...i hope everything will be working out...See ya...!!!
